Shadow puppetry, also known as shadow play, is an old style of storytelling and entertainment that employs flat articulated dyed leather cut-out figures held between a light source and a translucent screen or scrim. Made and performed 3 min puppet act.

In this project, we experimented with substitute materials while staying true to the essence of the craft through traditional motifs and narrative styles. The process offered a unique experience that blended both the physical medium of making and the performative medium of storytelling, keeping the spirit of shadow puppetry alive in a contemporary context.
